A new building was constructed for the Outpatients department, and Accident and Medical was established within the refurbished existing building. In addition, the Radiology department was refurbished. The hospital needed to remain operational throughout the 13-month contract.
To accommodate the sequencing, there were 11 separate handovers.Hooking into the existing building services was a challenge, as many of these had not been changed or maintained since the original building was constructed in the 1970s. Mainzeal had a team of 12 to manage the project, which delivered a top-quality facility on time and within budget.
