Project Brief
Mainzeal Construction was the Design and Build main contractor for the base build refurbishment of the Vogel Building and Mainzeal Interiors was awarded the contract for the ACC fitout.
The project involved the fitout of level two in the Vogel Building, level seven which extended across both the Vogel Building and Vogel Centre, and levels eight to sixteen in the Vogel Building. The works included reception and waiting spaces, meeting rooms, kitchens, open plan offices, breakout areas, individual offices, utility and storage spaces.
The fitout works were undertaken while the buildings were almost fully tenanted so the disruptive works were timed to occur outside normal working hours and material deliveries were coordinated to avoid the tenants’ high demand times for the truck dock and lift.
The fitout is mainly paint finished gib walls with small vision panels beside the doors. Victorian Ash timber slats 60x12mm mounted on battens feature on key joinery items and are used to pick out some corridor walls. Glass doors to meeting rooms and the vision panels repeat the line of the timber slats with glazing film.
