Project Brief

Having successfully completed stage 1 of the contract, Mainzeal have now completed stage 2 of the North wall and wharf strengthening work at Jellicoe Street.

New bored piles were constructed to support a new sea wall between Halsey Street and Wynyard wharf. In addition, the 1913 era reinforced concrete wharf structure was extensively repaired.

Defective concrete was removed by hydro demolition, rusted reinforcing was replaced and new concrete sprayed all from scaffolding hung beneath the wharf.

This work will allow the client Sea + City Projects, on behalf of Auckland City Council and Auckland Regional Holdings, to complete the first stage of Wynyard Quarter.
