Mainzeal places a high priority on quality management and has in place an extensive quality system that is certified nationally to the ISO9001-2008 quality standard. The system is subject to annual external audits, which are conducted by JAS-ANZ accredited auditors.
In addition to external audits to maintain our certification, we employ a system of internal audits in which projects are audited bi-monthly for compliance with our quality system. The results of these audits are passed on to our Regional and Divisional Managers and are closely monitored.
Our quality management system is structured on four levels.
1. QUALITY SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANUAL
Describes the Mainzeal quality safety & environmental management system and provides references to Company procedures.
2. POLICIES
These are key directives from the Mainzeal Board and Senior Management and include: Vision and Mission Statement, Core Values, Quality Policy, Health and Safety Policy, Environmental Policy, Rehabilitation Policy.
3. PROCEDURES
Mainzeal have some 70 procedures in five separate categories to control the activities from governance to field operations. They describe in detail the company management requirements that apply to all divisions and departments. Examples include: strategic and Business Planning, Crisis Plan, Purchasing Requirements, Inspection Planning, Control of Non-Conforming Product and Corrective Action, Audits, Staff Development and Training, Employee Induction and the Safety Management System to name but a few.
4. PROJECT MANAGEMENT PLAN (PMP)
The PMP is a collection of policies and procedures appropriate to the project and made project specific. The Plan addresses the quality, safety and environmental requirements for each separate project and is compiled by the build team prior to project commencement.
